After 10 years working a in “Pain Clinic” it became so obvious that we were treating the person not the disease entity and we were blind to any one who dared to denounced any part of evidence based practice. The success rate of most pain clinics is extremely low yet they are founded on evidence based practice.

There are so many variables in illness and injury the basic philosophy behind strict adherence to EB is questionable. Astoundingly the academia are still pushing that there is no room for quantitative elements in clinical practice. What a pity for our patients.
